Two hundred words a day, he says. Go on, try it.

I sit and think and once again, my mind wanders. A butterfly flitting from flower to bloom, alighting for a moment, ever in motion. Butterfly brain I ponder wryly, as my eyes follow the path of the sun, a cardinal’s flash of red distracting me.

I shift and fidget, unable to settle in the uncomfortable chair, spring on my face but winter…
